Stone Axe - the Oldest Humanity's Tool? Perhaps...

Posted by Aleksey Krylov on

Per Wiki, human predecessor apes gave rise to anatomically modern Homo sapiens in Africa about 200,000 years ago. At about 50,000 BC certain behavioral characteristics of these creatures started to resemble modern civilization, including communication, organized migration, use of hand tools, etc.

This recent study, as reported by Business Insider, reports that an axe might have been in existence and use as early as 44,000 and 49,000 years ago.

Ladies and gentlemen! We are going to go on a limb here and suggest that an axe is the oldest man-made tools ever used. And an axe marks the beginning of the human civilization!

These statements might be a stretch from the scientific perspective, but we proud to be associated and marketing one of the oldest tools on this planet.
